To the Printers!
Published by Cam July 27th, 2006 in The BookHello Everyone,
It’s been quiet here lately (for about a whole month) while we finished up all the details of the book and get it ready for the printers. The good news is that the book has been (or will be today) sent to the printers and we should see the first copies at LinuxWorld in San Francisco on August 14th! Our lead editor and fellow Apress author Jason Gilmore will be there with many copies of the book (probably with the ink still drying). If you attend the show we hope you’ll drop by the Apress booth, say hi and take a look at the book. You’ll probably see it before we do. :)
The staff at Apress have been amazing helping us through the last eight months. It’s been a wild ride and an awesome experience, but now it’s time to settle down, take the veil of secrecy off this project and start contributing to the community that made our book possible! Shortly, we’ll be adding lots of new posts and even a few new never-before-seen tools that will help you all out in your Google Maps mashup endeavours. We hope you stay tuned.
